Comings and goings

The group has seen several changes over the last weeks:

• Clàudia left to start a postdoc with Joe Subotnik. She obtained two prestigious postdoc fellowships for doing so: the Vagelos Institute Postdoc Fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania, as well as a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Global Postdoctoral Fellowship (which will also allow her to return to UAM for a year afterwards).

• Rui left to start his own group at ICMM-CSIC here on campus funded by a La Caixa Junior Leader fellowship.

• Jacob (Jake) Busche arrived as a new postdoc (jointly supervised with Antonio I. Fernández Domínguez) after finishing his PhD in the group of David Masiello at the University of Washington.

• Lorenzo Mauro from the group of Rémi Avriller at LOMA Bordeaux joined the group for a two-month research visit.

• Xabier Arrieta joined as a master’s student, co-supervised with Francisco J. García Vidal.

• Alan Torres joined as a bachelor’s student, co-supervised with Diego Martín Cano.
